Evaluation of Prolanis Patient Compliance in Using Antihypertensive Medication at the Istiazah Bantul Clinic in January-February 2024

Hypertension is a condition where a person’s blood pressure is more than 140/90mmHg. Based on the results of a preliminary study, the number of prolanis patients suffering from hypertension at the Istiazah Clinic was 151 patients and only 17% had regular check-ups every month. In the treatment of hypertension , the level of compliance plays an important role in the success of therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the compliance of prolanis patients in using antihypertensive drugs at the Istiazah Clinik in Bantul. This study used a deskriptive quantitative survey design conducted in January-February 2024. The number of samples in this study was 67 respondents and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. Measurement of patients compliance levels used the MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale) questionnaire. Data were analyzed quantitatively and presented in tabular form. The results showed that the level of compliance of prolanis patients at the Istiazah Clinic in Bantul was 46% in the compliant category, 42% in the fairly compliant category and 12% in the non compliant category.
