Exploring Blood Donation Interest Among Adolescents

Blood donation requires a strict selection process to ensure the safety of both donors and recipients. Adolescents have great potential as quality donors if they possess a strong interest and motivation. This study aims to determine the characteristics, level of interest, and factors influencing blood donation interest among adolescents. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed univariately using SPSS. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (74%), with the largest age group being 21 years old (70%). The level of blood donation interest among adolescents was found to be high at 73%, moderate at 21%, and low at 6%. Overall, adolescents showed great enthusiasm for blood donation activities, influenced by their health education background.
